about

Dedicated to St. Dismas. The development of the idea of resignation, illustrated through the Ionian "mode", which outstanding characteristic is to be the inversion of the Timaeus scale... As it has become the basic of Occidental music, the composer wanted to show that however deeply one can be blinded by encircling suggestions, there is always a chance (John III, 8). He therefore introduced a modulation in the middle of the piece, changing to the more orthodox Gregorian Tetrardus.
