Music For When They Left The Tower

by Gilles Zimmermann

/

about

The first part of the next album dedicated to unsquare rhythms.
Intended at newlisteners it starts with a simple 4/4 and the basic Phrygian mode.
Originally composed for a documentary, it develops 2 ideas based on archetypes, therefore rather unconcerned with any special time lapse except the natural evolution of the music. One becomes the ostinato supporting the whole composition, and pretext to the transient emergence of new lines interweaved like in a piece of broderie.
